The Cybernetic tradition tree enhances all empire species with the Cybernetic trait and eventually unlocks cybernetic traits, which are similar to robotic traits, cheaper but with an additional energy upkeep; The Psionic tradition tree adds the Psionic trait, which cannot be acquired or removed through genetic modification.If you don't lose wars, you don't have to pay influence to reject peace offers. There are a few ways to get more influence as a machine empire: Upgrading your capitol building, being frugal with frontier outposts, declaring rivalries, and I think one of the tradition trees gives you +1 influence for completing it.In stellaris there's 3 ascension paths. Basically you just have to avoid integrating your vassals and taking planets in wars until you have the tech to do it safely. Ascetic is by far the best, with that use something like Natural Neural Network (purely for the extra research roll, you never want to unemploy pops), Divided Attention, Subsumed Will.
